What is divine healing?
Divine healing and faith healing is not the same thing though both requires faith. The difference is in the source that the person place their trust to receive healing. Divine healing is a supernatural act performed by God in the name of Jesus to bring healing to someone’s physical body.
Divine healing is supernatural healing administrated inline with the principles of God’s word. Divine healing is simply the salvation of Jesus Christ its divine action in a person’s body.
There are two channels through which divine healing is administered. The first is through faith in Christ Jesus. This healing occurs when we meditate on the word of God concerning God’s will on divine healing.
The second channel of divine healing occurs and is administrated through the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12.
What is faith healing?
There are two categories of faith healing.
Natural Faith Healing
Natural faith healing concentrates on the mind and on the body and it ignores the power of God. Natural faith healing is all about the state of mind. The attitude of the person. A positive mental attitude can contribute to the improvement of someone’s health.
It is possible that a person can “think” themselves better just as possible that someone can “think” themselves sick. A positive mental attitude will work for people whether they are born again or not.
Supernatural Faith Healing
Faith healing on the other hand can be produced by demonic manifestation. Supernatural faith healing is when a person is healed supernaturally without human skills or means as a result of someone’s faith in a supernatural power other than that of Christ Jesus.
What about assited healing?
Asssited healing occurs as a result of the aid of human skills and means. This includes medical treatment , therapy and natural remedies.
Assited healing is humanity’s way to deal with the problems of a fallen world. Through God’s great love and compassion, He made a way for humanity to deal with many of the sicknesses and deseases that we are facing in the world today.
Healing by means of medicine is an indication of God’s mercy, wisdom and provision for healing through natural means. Through assited healing God is helping multitudes of people to relief their suffering and to heal and restore their health.
No doctor can bring healing, they can only assit to speed up the healing, stop the development of diseases and bring release to the sufferer. All healing is done by God, even assited healing. So there is nothing wrong seeking medical help as long as we understand that God is our source. Many suffering can be avoided if people seek medical treatment early when symptoms first appear.
Assited healing through medical treatment, therapy and the natural remedies is part of God’s will for people. All these methods are ways of fulfilling God’s desire for people which is divine healing. The differnce is that assited healing operates in the realm of the natural while divine healing operates in the realm of the spirit.
Divine Healing: God’s Will For Us
God’s Word is the higest authority. It reveals to us the nature of God and His will for mankind. Through out the Bible God reveals Himself as a God who heals. God has never change through out the ages. He did not loose His power to heal and He did not change His mind about divine healing for humanity.
